Hilmer and crew did a great job replacing the mortar in critical areas of my 100+ year old brick home in Fairfield. Redoing the entire exterior was not in budget, so I trusted Hilmer to identify the areas that needed it most (exposed side of the house, around dormer windows, chimney etc) and his team built scaffolding and did the entire job diligently.

We have large 100+ year old stone pillars on our property with a large gap between them that used to be a driveway. To give us more privacy, I was looking into how we close the space between and I’m so glad I asked Hilmer. Hilmer and team deconstructed and moved (!) one of the pillars to create a narrower opening where we added a gate and then extended the stone wall to enclose the entire yard. I was so nervous how this would look, but the stonework matches perfectly and we’ve been getting tons of compliments. When I was uncertain how to install a gate, Hilmer brought new hardware and drilled into the stone to set it up, no extra charge. Thank you Hilmer for completing our yard!!

Two Cousins have done several projects at my home and I cannot say enough positive things about their work. I vigorously vetted multiple companies and chose Two Cousins to perform work at my home. The first project they did was a 1,000+ sq ft bluestone patio with sitting walls. Demo, substrate, foundation with rebar, finish stonework—all of it was impressive. They brought in a cement truck to pour concrete for the foundation with a boom that extended over the roof of my home into the backyard. They worked with subcontractors to repair and upgrade electrical and carpentry seamlessly and in an extremely time efficient schedule. They stood behind their work and made sure I was happy with every bit of quality. The workers were very professional, respectful and just really good guys. Their next project was a full rebuilding of my chimney and stonework. This was a time sensitive project that needed to be done prior to cold weather and they prioritized the work well. My flashing was expertly put through in scheduling so Two Cousins brought their own copper guy into the project and he did amazing work! They are a price competitive team. They have top level management and the hardest workers more so than I have ever seen. They can handle large residential and commercial projects. Two Cousins is a company that I can shake hands with and trust that they will take care of my home to the highest quality that I require. I plan on doing additional projects with them. Two Cousins all the way!

Hilmer & Two Cousins Masonry did an outstanding job reconstructing my backyard and pool patio. They also built two large walls around the pool and various other things around the backyard. They were working just about every day until the job was completed much quicker than I thought possible. His guys are skilled, and hard working; they dig deep and don’t take any shortcuts. He arranges cement trucks, delivery of his equipment and custom stones in a precise and timely fashion. Some nights, his team was working until dusk to get the certain task completed so the following step in the process can be started. They are all very friendly and Hilmer is a pleasure to work with. He has a great vision and great team. My family and I are very happy with results.

Absolutely phenomenal work. We had Hilmer and his team inlay Belgium block, build a retaining wall, and put massive granite steps into it. The size of the steps is extremely impressive and the workmanship was top notch. I will most definitely contract with him for future work.

We hired Hilmer to re-build our old, buckling bluestone patio. Once we agreed to price they showed up a day later, and worked really long hours to have the patio done in about a week. We contracted Two Cousins Masonry to expand our patio and build an outdoor barbecue. Hilmer and his crew were hardworking, diligent and did a fantastic job! The price was very fair. Two Cousins provided us a detailed proposal and bid that, while not the cheapest, reflected the quality of their work and materials, which we had admired elsewhere. Their friendly crew showed up on time with a no-nonsense power-shovel and other equipment that enabled them to get the job done quickly. They proceeded to rip out the old poured-concrete stoop (age-hardened over more than 50 years) and replaced it with new brick and bluestone steps on a solid foundation that sets off our front entrance beautifully. Their work was done on time and at the price quoted. They cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. We will certainly call them again when we need any masonry work and have already recommended them to our neighbors.
